  3. The object of StarBound is to expand your feeble empire to capture 
  4. the whole sector of space you are in.  You do this by balancing your 
  5. planet's expenditure on technology, ships and planetary output.  
  6. Once you have a large enough fleet to expand you should explore 
  7. and Teraform planets, fight off ships in your territory, and 
  8. conquer enemy planets that are weak.  Each planet has its own 
  9. technology level (it takes time to build factories and labs on a 
  10. planet).
